ORYX Group supports increase of road safety through driver training
The European Union and 9 organisations specialised in training of drivers engaged in road transport from 7 countries have joined forces to improve contents of training of professional drivers in South-East Europe
The 3rd SEED PROject Transnational Meeting was held in Zagreb in the beginning of June 2016, organised by ORYX Group. After the kick-off meeting in Paris and the meeting in Skopje, the 9 partners from 7 countries (Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Kosovo* UN Resolution 1244, Macedonia and Serbia) participating in the project co-financed through the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union met for the third time in order to increase road safety and efficiency of road transport through improvements in training of drivers in the premises of the ORYX Centre for Safe Driving located in Mičevec.
The Zagreb meeting marked the entry into the second phase f the project – finalisation of modern and interactive content aimed at education of trainers for training of professional drivers, as well as, at a later stage, the content aimed at training of the drivers.
It was agreed that the second phase will finish with the organization of 2 Train-the-Trainer sessions – the first one in Nova Gradiška, organised by POU AMC Nova Gradiška, and a second one in Skopje, lorganised by AMERIT. Each of the sessions will include 10 instructors and will be held in Odtober this year, thus marking the end of the project’s second phase.
The total allocated budget to this 3-year project amounts to about € 449.710 with more than 80% of the total budget financed by the EU. The project leader is French Promotrans, while most of the project partners are from Croatia – EKOmobilis, ORYX Group and POU AMC Nova Gradiška.
