Fundraising event in Radviliskis Lizdeika Gymnasium - 20th-23rd December 2021

The students from Lizdeika Gymnasium were preparing for the Christmas charity event, however, the situation was not easy as COVID cases had been growing every day. The students had been planning and creating strategies on how to organize a fundraising event safely and effectively. They talked with classmates who can perform, sing and dance, asked teachers to help them with choosing the performing activities and music. In addition, they decided to organize some games, so that the event could be more appealing to everyone. The winners of these games would be awarded prizes: sweets and diplomas.

Finally the day the 20th of December came and first-grade students were invited to the school hall. The students had been a bit frustrated and disappointed as there were not many students, but at last, it was even better as it was easier to play games. The next two days were for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders and they were very similar. There had been a slight change on the last day when more students came to the event. The price of the ticket to the event was 1€. The most attractive part was when Santa Clause came at the end of the show and brought a small packet of sweets to each class group.

The students received 155 EUR during these three afternoons in December. From the collected money, they decided to donate 70 EUR to two students (sisters) who live at the orphan home, and the other money was saved for organizing another fundraising event which is planned for 1st April (All Fools’ Day).

Take a look at how their wonderful event went!
